We teach what school doesn't have a class for: ownership, discipline, purpose, and the real-world skills teens need to navigate life in school and when the classroom ends.
1:1 mentorship program that complements school and helps teenagers emerge as confident, independent, purpose-driven young adults equipped with skills ready for the real-world.
We offer:
Our mission…
is to fill the gaps in teen education by developing responsible, self directed young adults with the purpose, discipline, and real-world readiness
We focus on the gaps that quietly hold teens back:
• Purpose and direction
• Mindset, discipline, and confidence
• Phone and social media awareness and responsibility
• Basic money skills and financial thinking
Instead of more motivation or lectures, we listen to teens and work together to provide practical frameworks, guidance, and real accountability, so they learn how to take ownership of their choices, build consistent habits, and develop the confidence to navigate challenges independently.

About Scott
I've spent over six years working with teens… and I mean really working with them.
Not just teaching chemistry, biology, and physics in a classroom. I was also an advisor, a coach, a residential house mentor, and the guy helping students start clubs and navigate everything school doesn't prepare you for.
I've seen teens at 7 a.m. before first period and at 10 p.m. after study hall. I've watched how they show up when they're motivated and how they shut down when they're overwhelmed. I've seen the gap between what they're capable of and what they actually do — and I've learned exactly what it takes to close it.
Why I Started Mission Fill The Gap
I started this mission because I realized the teens who needed the most help weren't struggling with chemistry or physics. They were struggling with focus, follow-through, discipline, and clarity.
They needed mentorship, not content delivery. They needed frameworks for managing their attention, building habits, and making decisions. They needed someone outside the parent-child dynamic who could guide them without the emotional baggage.
That's the gap I'm filling.
What Makes This Different
I'm not a therapist. I'm not a motivational speaker. I'm not here to tell your teen they're amazing and hope that does the trick. I show up with structure, clarity, and calm authority. I listen. I challenge. I hold the line when it matters. And I help teens take ownership of their choices so they stop relying on reminders, pressure, or external motivation.
I'm here to provide what actually works:
Clear frameworks for responsibility, discipline, and decision-making
Real accountability that's firm but not punishing
Practical guidance on attention management, habits, and follow-through
Consistent support from someone who's been in the trenches with teens for years
This isn't about fixing your teen. It's about giving them the tools and guidance to step into the person they're capable of becoming.

This mentoring is designed for teens (ages 13-18) who are feeling stuck, drifting, or searching for direction. Whether they're struggling with motivation, overwhelmed by choices, dealing with academic pressure, or simply trying to figure out who they are and what they want—this is for them. It's also great for teens who are doing "fine" but want to level up and become more intentional about their lives.
-
School guidance counselors play an important role, but they’re responsible for hundreds of students and are primarily focused on academics—course selection, graduation requirements, and college applications.
This mentorship is fundamentally different. It’s dedicated one-on-one time focused on your teen as a person, not a transcript.
I help teens do school better by building the skills schools often don’t have time to teach: discipline, focus, time management, handling pressure, confidence, and decision-making. Everything is personalized to what your teen actually needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Students gain practical tools that make a real difference day to day: studying effectively, managing workload, working with teachers, staying motivated, and balancing responsibilities without burning out. I also help teens show up to guidance counselor meetings more prepared, clear, and confident.
-
Honest answer: I only work with teens who actually want to be here.
I've worked with teens long enough to know—you can't force this. If they're not willing, it won't work. The good news? Most teens are skeptical at first but come around once they realize I'm not going to lecture them or tell them what to do. This is a collaboration. We define success together, and I actually listen to them.
My recommendation: have an honest conversation with your teen, then let them decide. If they're hesitant, we can do a single trial session. Once they see this isn't another adult with expectations—it's someone helping them build what THEY want—most get on board.
But if they're truly not ready? That's okay. Better to know upfront than force it. I'd rather work with teens who want to level up than push someone who's not there yet.
-
Absolutely not.
This program is designed to complement school, not compete with it—by helping teens apply what they’re learning to real life, responsibility, and adulthood.
-
A 30-minute session keeps them engaged, present, and actually absorbing what we discuss instead of zoning out halfway through.
More importantly, mentoring isn't about talking for hours—it's about taking action. Our sessions are focused and intentional: we identify what matters, make a plan, and get clear on the next step. Then your teen goes and does the work between sessions. That's where real growth happens.
-
We cover what matters most to your teen. Common areas include: building confidence and discipline, improving study habits and time management, navigating friendships and relationships, handling stress and anxiety, finding motivation, setting meaningful goals, exploring career paths, money skills, communication, and most importantly—figuring out their purpose and direction. We start by identifying their top priorities, then build from there. This isn't a fixed curriculum—it's customized to them.

You can cancel at any time. You'll be reimbursed for any future sessions that haven't happened yet, but sessions already completed are non-refundable.I conduct three introductory assessment meetings to ensure we're all aligned, it's a good fit, and I understand everyone's goals:
Meeting with parents to discuss goals and priorities
Meeting with your teen separately to understand their perspective
Meeting with parents and teen together to confirm alignment
